Sodium Thiosulphate, commonly shortened as Hypo, is a vital inorganic sulfur salt with two mainstream commercial specifications: sodium thiosulphate pentahydrate (CAS 10102-17-7) and anhydrous sodium thiosulphate (CAS 7772-98-7). Pentahydrate sodium thiosulphate appears as colorless transparent monoclinic crystals with natural efflorescence in dry air, while anhydrous sodium thiosulphate is white fine hygroscopic powder with stable chemical properties at room temperature. Both products own excellent water solubility and weak reducing performance, which is their core chemical characteristic.
