Analysis of the Special Characteristics of the Sodium Hydrosulfide Evaporation Process
The evaporation of sodium hydrosulfide solutions differs significantly from that of conventional salts, mainly in two aspects: material properties and process requirements.

Chemically, sodium hydrosulfide readily hydrolyzes at high temperatures, producing hydrogen sulfide gas and sodium hydroxide. This reaction not only causes the loss of active ingredients but also leads to severe equipment corrosion. Experimental data shows that the hydrolysis rate of sodium hydrosulfide rises exponentially when the temperature exceeds 80°C, requiring precise control of operating temperatures in the evaporation system.

Physically, sodium hydrosulfide solutions are strongly alkaline and highly corrosive, imposing strict requirements on equipment materials. Conventional stainless steels develop pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking after prolonged contact, necessitating the use of special alloys or lining technologies. Meanwhile, sulfide ions in the solution react with metal surfaces to form a loose FeS layer, further accelerating corrosion. Operational data indicates that the service life of unprotected carbon steel equipment in a sodium hydrosulfide environment typically does not exceed 6 months.

Typical physical parameters of sodium hydrosulfide solutions include: a boiling point elevation of 15–25°C for a 30% concentration solution; a corrosion rate of 0.5–2.0 mm/year for 316L stainless steel at 80°C; a hydrolysis rate of 3–8% per hour at 90°C under atmospheric pressure; and a crystallization temperature of 40–60°C for saturated solutions.
