What is the addition amount of calcium formate in cement?

2026-01-05

In summer, the dosage of Calcium formate is usually 0.3% ~ 0.7% of the cement weight.
In winter, the dosage should increase as the temperature drops, generally 0.5% ~ 1%, with a maximum limit of 2.5%.
For cement (which typically has high early strength but low late strength) used in dry mortar, adding an appropriate amount of calcium formate to the product is beneficial for improving early strength. Our calcium formate has good fluidity, high solubility, and incorporates an air-entraining function (saving 1.5% water and reducing water content by 5%). It can enhance mortar workability and increase durability.

Calcium formate concrete accelerator delivers fast strength gain, low chloride content and excellent workability—perfect for boosting construction efficiency. Click to consult our tailored supply plans now!
