Maleic Anhydride (MA) C4 Olefin Process
This process uses effective components (n-butene, butadiene) in mixed C4 fractions as raw materials, which react with air (or oxygen) via gas-phase oxidation over a V₂O₅-P₂O₅ catalyst to produce maleic anhydride ma. In the reaction, n-butene first dehydrogenates to butadiene, then oxidizes to maleic anhydride ma. Byproducts include CO, CO₂, water, small amounts of acetaldehyde, acetic acid, acrolein, and furan.
