Sodium hydrosulfide flakes
For oxidized galena, sodium hydrosulfide sulfurizes its surface, restoring its floatability. It reacts with oxides on the galena surface to form lead sulfide, improving surface hydrophobicity.
In the separation of copper-zinc sulfide ores, sodium hydrosulfide inhibits zinc minerals and promotes the flotation of copper minerals. It forms hydrophilic substances on zinc mineral surfaces, reducing collector adsorption.
