1.3.1 Preparation Method:
Sodium Laureth Sulfate is produced using ethylene oxide and lauryl alcohol as raw materials. The first step involves the ethoxylation of lauryl alcohol with ethylene oxide. The second step involves the sulfation of the alcohol ether using sulfur trioxide (SO₃) or chlorosulfonic acid (CISO₃H). Finally, neutralization with a sodium hydroxide solution yields Sodium Laureth Sulfate.
