Acidic changes of sodium hydrosulfide
In environments with pH < 6.5, decomposition accelerates suddenly. Hydrosulfide ions are directly converted into hydrogen sulfide gas, which rapidly escapes the system, releasing concentrations as high as 3–27 ppm. The reaction can be positively accelerated by increasing temperature.
Important reference data: Laboratory tests show that a 12°C temperature rise from 35°C increases the conversion rate to 6.4 times the baseline rate.
